Next Generation VOIP
VOIP – Harness the power of Next Generation Phone Technology.
What is VOIP? VOIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. Most people relate VOIP to skype however, most VOIP systems operate far differently from Skype.
VOIP uses your broadband connection to route calls via the internet to regular phone systems anywhere in the world. The advantages of VOIP include
- Voice quality comparable to traditional telcos.
- A range of smartphone options included for free which normally attract a monthly rental cost with traditional telcos. These include call waiting, caller I.D., conference calling.
- Call following where multiple phones can ring in a specified sequence including cellphones, one number (where multiple phones will ring at the same time).
- Voice message automatically forward to email.
- Comprehensive call records including outbound and inbound calls, call recording in mp3.
- Remarkably cheap toll call rates to most places in the world (generally around 5 cents per minute)
Installation – If you have an existing broadband connection we connect a device called an ATA (analogue Telephone Adaptor) to your broadband connection. This adaptor allows you to attach an existing phone to the device. This device is separate from your computer. Your computer does not need to stay on to receive and make phone calls. You simply pick up your connected phone and dial as you normally would (your phone even has a dial tone and dials as a normal phone would). If you receive phone calls your phone rings as it did before.
